Colleges & Universities
Conestoga College
Located just outside of the City boundaries in Kitchener, Conestoga College is just a 10 kilometer drive from Cambridge. Conestoga College is considered one of Canada’s premier polytechnic institutes. The College offers a variety of different programs including full-time, part-time and apprenticeship programs on eight campuses (Doon (Kitchener), Waterloo, Cambridge Downtown, Guelph, Stratford, Brantford and Ingersoll).
University of Waterloo
The University of Waterloo School of Architecture is located in downtown Cambridge. The main campus is located in Waterloo, just a 25 kilometer drive from Cambridge. UW is the world’s largest cooperative university also boasting the world’s largest enrollment in mathematics and engineering. The university is also a world leader in computer software design and development.
Wilfrid Laurier University
Wilfrid Laurier University is located in Waterloo, a 24 kilometer drive from Cambridge. WLU is best known for its excellence in business programs including post-graduate studies. The faculties include Arts and Science, Music, Business and Economics, Graduate Studies and Social Work.
University of Guelph
University of Guelph is located in Guelph, a 24 kilometer drive from Cambridge. U of G is best known for its involvement in the development of bio-technology. Courses are offered in the faculties of Arts, Biological Science, Family and Consumer Studies and Culture, Veterinary Medicine, Physical Science and Social Science.

The Catholic School Board District Centre-Sud
The Catholic School Board District Centre-Sud serves approximately 15,000 students in its 44 elementary schools and 10 secondary schools established in an area of over 40 000 km 2 that extends from the Niagara Peninsula to Peterborough and Lake Ontario (Toronto) to Georgian Bay. The head office is located in Toronto. Saint-Noel-Chabanel and Pere-Rene-de-Galinee are located in Cambridge.
Waterloo Region District School Board
Waterloo Region District School Board is the public school board for the Region of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. It operates 103 elementary schools, 16 secondary schools, and other facilities, serving almost 63,000 students in the Region of Waterloo. It has approximately 7500 staff and a budget of $675 million. It is the largest public sector employer in the Region and the second largest employer overall.
The board serves Waterloo Region, which consists of the cities of Kitchener, Cambridge, and Waterloo, and the townships of Wellesley, Woolwich, Wilmot, and North Dumfries. Within the townships, WRDSB operates schools in the communities of Ayr, Baden, Breslau, Conestogo, Elmira, Floradale, Linwood, New Dundee, New Hamburg, St. Jacobs, and Wellesley.
Waterloo Catholic District School Board
Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) is a school board serving the Region of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Its headquarters are in Kitchener. It is the eighth largest Catholic school system in Ontario.
The Board's 30,000 elementary, secondary and adult/continuing education students are served by more than 3,000 full-time staff (including teachers, educational assistants, support staff, custodial staff, youth care workers, administrators and chaplains.)
