Medical Facilities

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is a modern facility serving Cambridge and area. CMH employs more than 1,200 skilled health-care professionals, technicians, and staff to serve the medical needs of patients. The physician recruitment task force has made great strides in obtaining more physicians for the area. Recently, several new clinics have been established to serve the needs of the growing community. For assistance, in finding a new doctor visit Doctor Recruitment. Cambridge Memorial Hospital provides Emergency Room and Ambulance Services. In this area dial 911 in case of emergency.

Fire Services

There are five fire stations in the City of Cambridge and the response time is based on covering 90% of the City within three minutes. The department uses the most up-to-date equipment and surveillance systems available and through regular inspection programs works to keep the City’s fire losses to a minimum. The Fire department and Emergency Ambulance Service is immediately accessible through a Regional “911” telephone exchange to provide immediate response to emergencies.

Police

The City of Cambridge is serviced by the Waterloo Regional Police Service Department. The Cambridge Detachment Headquarters is centrally located on Hwy 24 at 176 Hespeler Rd. The Regional Police headquarters is located at 200 Maple Grove Rd. and can be contacted at 519-653-770 or the Regional “911” telephone exchange for immediate response to any crisis.
