Welcome to the City of Cambridge

MESSAGE FROM MAYOR DOUG CRAIG

On behalf of Cambridge City Council and the citizens of Cambridge, I would like to welcome you to the City of Cambridge. Cambridge is a thriving city located in Canada's rich, industrial heartland of southern Ontario. It was formed in 1973, through the amalgamation of the three former municipalities of Galt, Hespeler and Preston and the surrounding region.

Cambridge offers a unique opportunity for business. Our workforce has a 185-year history of productivity and quality. Our location puts us on the doorstep of world markets and is ideally situated to network for trade and commerce across North America. And our quality of life makes Cambridge a fine place to call home for over 120,000 citizens. For businesses interested in locating in Canada's industrial heartland, Cambridge is the perfect choice.

The City of Cambridge is a great place to live, work and play. We take a lot of pride in our city, and we are equally proud of our vibrant business community, and the diverse cultural opportunities available to our residents. It is a wonderful place to explore and we are delighted to share its pleasures with you.

As a visitor, I can assure you that you will find our tradition of hospitality and excellent neighbourhoods and facilities to be the perfect place for your home or business.

Doug Craig
Mayor
